It’s hard to believe that the soccer season is coming to an end. It was great to see so many energetic, athletic children and youth participate. The organization has grown leaps and bounds over the last four years. This could not be done without the commitment from so many.
As President of the league I would like to thank:
* The children and youth of our community for making the sport such a great game for all to watch.
* To the parents who bring their children to practices & games, as well as snacks, and provide words of encouragement and loud cheers to the teams.
* To the many volunteers in our organization who make this all happen, who include
Bryan Rode – Referee coordinator for the younger age group
Peter Boag – Referee coordinator for the U12 – U18 groups
Giles Sharpe – Coaching coordinator
Tammy Sharpe – Secretary
Allanah Walsh – Registration & Fundraising Coordinator and Communication provider to all the convenors, coaches and parents during the season.
Carol Sparling & Karen Rode – who have volunteered for many years in a variety of positions on the Executive and have so much knowledge and remember all the little details!
MJ Merritt – who spends many hours ordering, dividing up, putting together all of our shirts and equipment (balls, nets, etc) for our over 840 players, and ensuring it all comes back and is stored and recorded for another season.
Crystal Aiken - our treasurer who pays our bills and keeps our books up to date.
Jude Aiken – who has increasingly introduced FSA to true mini-soccer which will and has enabled all of our young players to develop great soccer skills.
* To our many convenors, who communicate with the coaches throughout the season.
